I train in medicine and work on how the heart might repair itself. The clinical side and the lab side keep pulling on each other.
I went into medicine to treat patients. Time around failing hearts made the limits of repair hard to ignore. That question pushed me into stem-cell and bioengineering work, and then into building small tools so the literature and experiments are a bit easier to use.
Virelion is the company-side attempt to keep the clinical problem and the tooling in the same conversation. Longer term I want a cardiology path with a small lab that stays close to patients.
